HEXHAMSHIRE BREWERY

The Dipton Mill Inn is the rural tap of Hexhamshire Brewery, also owned by the Brooker family. A pub that owns a brewery rather than a brewery owning a pub!

In 1995, in deepest Hexhamshire, Northumberland’s oldest brewery was formed with one clear mission: to create wonderful beers using traditional methods and with simple, high quality and locally sourced ingredients.

A good range of beers are brewed at any time, with a core selection of firm favourites surrounded by several seasonal ales and specially commissioned bespoke brews.  Our brewery is in a lush, rural setting so other than the sheep, there’s nothing to disturb the alchemy of making our amazing brews.

And now we have relocated our brewery in the grounds of our pub.

TAKE SOME BEER HOME

Our beers are available for you to take home (please order in advance) in 5l and 20l ‘bags in boxes’ and 4 1/2 and 9 gallon casks.

For more information on our beers please visit the Hexhamshire Brewery’s website.

Dukesfield Smelters & Carriers Project asked the brewery to develop a beer to celebrate and raise awareness of the project. They came up with a beer which was a sell out success in pubs along the lead route from Allendale to Blaydon.
